Location
Shin Shin is located in the heart of the Hirafu Village, which is the hub of Japan's Niseko ski area, with an abundance of restaurants, shops, cafes and facilities, not found in the other townships on the range.
The Niseko range is Japan's premier international ski resort. The quality and reliability of the dry Hokkaido powder is unparalleled anywhere in Japan, or the world.
The township of Hirafu is the main township on the Niseko Range, linked by a modern lift system to four main ski areas Grand Hirafu, Higashiyama, Annupuri, and Hanazono.
Niseko is approximately 2 hours easy drive, bus or train from Sapporo and New Chitose International Airport. Buses and trains leave from the airport and deliver you to the Niseko ski area.
Getting to and from the slopes
Shin Shin is on the Grand Hirafu shuttle bus route. This free service runs through the village, taking riders to and from ski grounds, and around the village to shops, restaurants and hot springs.
In fact, stop number 8 is only metres away from Shin Shin lodge. Don't underestimate the value of this, when the group is setting-off for a fabulous day's skiing each morning, or coming home at any time of the day. It's a whole lot easier if you don't have to walk with your ski gear!

Eating out
Shin Shin's private location, in a quiet cul-de-sac, only metres from some of Hirafu's best restaurants and bars, allows easy walking access and quiet comfort. The nightlife in Hirafu is legendary, but you won't be disturbed by late-night revellers at Shin Shin, unless you are one of them!
Onsens — a specialty
Niseko is also famous for its onsens - these Japanese Bath Houses are derived from natural thermal hot springs. Steaming hot water flows into large indoor and outdoor pools making it a great way to relax, warm up and unwind after a day on the ski slopes!
There are numerous hot springs in the Niseko region and Shin Shin is located only 200m from one of the most popular in Niseko Hirafu, Yukoro Onsen (map shows proximity to Shin Shin).
